Who can borrow one?

Registered users of the D. Samuel Gottesman Library.

 For how long?

iPad checkout is currently 7 days. Automatic renewals are not permitted. If enough are available, you may check-out equipment again.

How can I hook it up to the flat screens in the Group Study Rooms?

Adapters are available for borrowing at the Circulation Desk. Click HERE to check availability.

  • iPad checkouts and returns must take place during regular Circulation Desk hours.
  • iPads can be checked out at the D. Samuel Gottesman Library Circulation Desk. You will be required to sign a D. Samuel Gottesman Library iPad Lending Agreement Form prior to check-out.
  • Any damage to or loss of iPad or accessories must be reported to the borrowing staff immediately.
  • iPad must only be returned to the circulation desk for check in by a Library staff person. All components, including the carrying case and power adapter, must be returned at the same time.
  • You are solely responsible and if lost, damaged, or more than 24 hours overdue, you will be charged a replacement fee. If the equipment is returned in good condition, the fee will be reduced to a billing fee. There are no exceptions.
  • iPADS SHOULD NEVER BE PLACED IN THE BOOK RETURN

iPads and iPad minis are 16GB, wireless ready and come preloaded with resources licensed by the D. Samuel Gottesman Library, as well as resources from the National Library of Medicine and the Centers for Disease Control. A suite of Google Office apps is also installed for easier access to all your documents in the cloud.

Personal software can be downloaded onto the iPads, using your personal iTunes login and password. Instructions on how to set up an iTunes account are available here.
 

All downloaded programs and apps will be erased from the iPad when returned.
